| War crimes
- Took a leading role
in the brutal repression of the Uprising after the Gulf War in 1991 which
included mass executions, torture and wanton destruction in the Iraqi
cities of Samawa, Nassiriyah, Basra, Amara and Kut.
Genocide
- As Secretary of the Ba'ath Party's
Northern Bureau between 1986 and 1992, bears command responsibility for
acts of genocide carried out against the Kurds, including the Anfal operations.
